We're actively trying to use up the stuff we have, including the alcohol. I'm tired of moving it from one house to the next and, as a favor to me, hubs has been enjoying nightcaps to help use it up. One evening I was in the kitchen when I spied Little Miss really polishing a bottle. She looked just like a bartender, drying the bottle, wiping the counter, moving back to the bottle, etc. I really should've gotten it on video to truly capture it.

When Walks go Wrong
Now that Little Miss is in Mother's Day Out, we've gotten into the habit of doing something outside after I pick her up. I try to include Huck so he can get out of the house and enjoy. There's a greenway just a few minutes from the school, so that's been our location of choice lately. I walk with the stroller for a bit so that I can get some exercise, and then Little Miss Locomotion takes over and walks the last bit back.
Usually it goes pretty well, but on this particular day something happened, and neither walking nor going back in the stroller would do. Because I had the stroller, I didn't bring the Kinderpack or anything else to carry her. So....this happened.
I couldn't carry her in one arm and control both the stroller and Huck with the other, so into the stroller he went. Other people on the trail busted out laughing and gave several funny comments, but what are you gonna do?
Go Vote
Or better yet, just go!
Our local polling place is at the local elementary school. Little Miss Curious loved exploring the gym while Mama waited not-so-patiently in line. Finally, it was our turn and Little Miss was able to join me in our civic duty. She loved watching democracy in action and getting her sticker. When you ask her what she thinks about voting, you get an enthusiastic response.
Hope you're out there voting and trying to make a difference as well.
Baby Babywearing
We all know that this mama is a huge advocate for babywearing. I just love it. Now, Little Miss Mama is also curious. I no longer put the Kinderpack away, because Little Miss asks for it whenever she sees it and wants to wear it around the house.
It is all I can do not to order a baby carrier in her size. It's a daily struggle, and I fear that I may not have self control much longer.
I love a girl and a Kinderpack, but my heart just melted when she asked to carry her doll in her ring sling.
Makes me even happier that I was able to get this ornament made this year.
Wear all the babies!
What time is it?
Story time or nap time?
Sometimes it's hard to decide.
And sometimes, you just have to get close to the stage with all the other kids.
Walks with Friends
First kiss? Check.
Stroll through the woods while holding hands?
Check. This girl better start pacing herself! I will admit that there's nothing better than walking and holding hands with those close to you.
More Memphis
Hubs is from Memphis and the vast majority of his family is still there. We're so excited to share that Aunt S and all the cousins are moving back to Memphis. We enjoyed visiting them in Atlanta, but it'll be nice to be able to see all the family together again. We went back a few weeks ago for a little visit while they were house hunting. There aren't too many pictures because we were busy having fun, but we were able to meet up with everyone a few times. First we went for lunch at a local spot.
We were able to get in a good blend of family time and time with dear friends. This time we were also lucky enough to get to spend some quality time with Uncle Jerry and Aunt Sue. They have a beautiful house in the country that Little Miss enjoyed exploring, complete with a pond in the backyard. I can only imagine what trouble she would've gotten into out there if it had been warmer! Here was a quick photo we snapped on the way out.
I just love the expression on Aunt Sue's face. Each time we go back we resolve that we need to go more. Hopefully we can make it back again soon for another weekend.
