Toddler in a Box

One of the advantages of not having toys around is that there's less mess to clean up  it allows your child to have more fun with the things that are in the environment.  Little Miss adores blankets.  She will not get up in your lap to read books without one.  She insists that Huckleberry is covered at all times.  Her babies also require lots of blankets.  I'm glad that I kept many of the smaller ones from when she was a baby.  But looking at blankets all over the apartment was starting to get to me, yet there was no point in folding them up because they were almost immediately unfolded and used again.  I pulled this crate from storage and began just throwing blankets in there.  Luckily, it's in the corner behind the couch so you don't really notice the mess.  Little Miss decided that didn't look like too bad a place to cuddle up.

She even gave a rare smile for the camera.  I can't say that the idea is entirely original, however.
I suppose inspiration is everywhere.
