Fountain Baby

We are incredibly lucky that the last two summers we've had access to a pool.  Summers in the south are H-O-T baby!  Last summer we enjoyed the pool a few times, but we didn't use it nearly as much as we could've.  Part of that was because the pool was a daunting place to take a new toddler.  She didn't want water coming over her head, but did enjoy playing in some little splash areas.

THEN (Summer 2014):
This summer is an entirely new experience.  Little Miss jumps in the water with abandon (although she's great at waiting until an adult is in the pool and ready to catch her), doesn't care about getting her hair wet, and is happy playing in bigger fountains.  When we move into the garage we'll no longer have such easy access to pools (we'll have to go to the ymca), but we will have this splash pad in walking distance from the house.  We tested it out one morning to see how Little Miss would like it.

NOW (June 2015):
She still wasn't a huge fan of the water coming down on top of her head, but she liked being swung through the water and hanging out near the drains where she could just wade in the water and play with it on her own terms.
There is quite a progression from this year to next, so hopefully next year she'll be ready to enjoy this splash pad to its fullest.
